Jancy Jaslow: The Urban Studio
Studio 510 B
The Pendleton Art Center
1310 Pendleton Street
Cincinnati, OH 45210
"13 blocks north of the Ohio River!"
My studio is just north of downtown Cincinnati: the view from my fifth floor converted warehouse-studio window is of the Cincinnati skyline, including the Proctor & Gamble headquarters towers.
I create all my pots in this studio; wheel, clay, and tools are kept here. Chemicals and materials for glaze mixing, and the kiln bunker are at my home studio, which is larger than the urban studio.
Final Friday Openings: 6-10 p.m.
The Pendleton Art Center, now converted to eight floors of artist studios and galleries, is open to public cruising and viewing the "Final Friday" of every month, free of charge. www.pendletonartcenter.org
If you are hardy, take the stairs.
Or, if you are adventurous, take the self-serve purple elevator (and use the crank to get to the fifth floor):
